What People's Say About Place

Great food and atmosphere. Now you can share that statement with a beer at this great place! That's right! They now serve beer! The Scottish eggs are to die for! A fun little cafe in a small town that makes you want to come back.

Good stopping point for good food and friendly atmosphere. I had the breaded tenderloin and coleslaw. Tenderloin was very good. Nice thickness and good flavor. Some places beat the tenderloin paper thin and then tout, it's as big as your plate. This was nicely done without overdoing anything. Added most of the typical goodies...tomato, pickle, onion and mayo. Creamy coleslaw and chips to close it out. My mother got the BBQ and said it was also very good. She typically doesn't eat everything on the plate. This time was different finishing off the BBQ and coleslaw. Good menu for a small hometown restaurant. Next time I hope to time it such that I'd stop in for breakfast. If I lived local, I'd be stopping for coffee and breakfast weekly and sit at one of the sidewalk tables. Super friendly staff and people. Ask the owner (I feel bad I didn't even ask her name. We just started talking.) how the place got it's name. Cute story and she tells it well.

Wonderful place where my girlfriend and I felt right at home. Not only great food but very humble pricing, not to mention the best service we've ever had by far. We will definitely be back!!!

This place has some of the best home cooking around. The catfish is the best I've had locally, and the peach cobbler was delicious, owners and staff were very friendly. Definitely gonna go more often

this could easily have been a five-star tenderloin. the grilled tenderloin was moist and delicious but it had a big chunk of gristle in it that made about 20% of it inedible. the breaded tenderloin was dry and tasted of chicken. they had a nice bun that held together and a big slice of tomato and lettuce. the tater tots were nice and crispy and potatoey on the inside. the onion rings have thick slices of onion with a nice crust. the sides were definitely five stars. fortunately they're still using styrofoam, no reason to not use compostable on the carryout.

The restaurant has a simple menu of home cooked food. Everything our group of four ordered for breakfast was good. I believe they accidentally served home fries instead of hashbrowns but we were okay w it. Have to ask for the crispy if that's what you like! Servers were sweet and helpful. Place is small and charming. Prices were SO reasonable.

Food was good, service very personable and love the small town country atmosphere. Ordered 2 pieces of turtle pie to take home. . . Absolutely delicious!!

Cute little breakfast and lunch place. Great dinner too! Best walleye dinner in Indy!
